Welcome to my blog: The art of being a better modern developer in the age of AI
Hi there, and welcome to my blog.

We are in the new era of Artificial Intelligence, and the big corporations are promising superintelligence soon. While we are stuck here for now, prototyping and software development have become a piece of cake. This is as a result of numerous number of Large Language Models(LLMs) that have flooded the market with a new slogan, "Vibe Coding". While the aspect of vibe coding itself is not bad, it poses a new threat to the developers; LLMs are creating more brain-dead developers than competent ones.

Many developers are getting used to depending on LLMs to generate code for them. They focus on analysing the generated code and making edits to the code. As we know, the software development sector keeps evolving, new features and ways to do things will get rolled out soon, and the number of competent developers will keep declining. The muscle memory of writing the same method over and over will fade away, leaving developers blank. To push the damage further, LLMs or simply AI are slowly killing how we used to do our research in blogs, exchanges, and forums. While doing research, one would learn much more than they were really searching for. This improved one's knowledge base.

This has forced me to go back to basics, only using AI on the front-end, as my UI designing skills are very poor. To help others have the same competence, I will be focusing on this blog to address various issues that might slip through your fingers if you are not keen. This blog will focus on:

1. Programming & Development Mastery

Learning PHP, Python, and Java in practical, project-driven ways

Exploring frameworks like Slim PHP, Laravel, and Spring Boot

Building scalable, maintainable, and clean codebases

Understanding architecture decisions behind real projects

2. Linux & Systems Fluency

Mastering daily Linux commands for productivity

Optimizing workflows on any device, even your phone

Automating routine tasks and managing servers efficiently

Exploring low-resource setups and hidden system hacks

3. Cloud & DevOps Smarts

Learning Docker, VPS, and lightweight virtualization strategies

Implementing CI/CD for solo developers and small teams

Optimizing infrastructure cost and reliability

Discovering automation tricks that save time and effort

4. Hacks, Productivity & Automation

Developer-focused workflow hacks and shortcuts
